Airocide® is a specific bioconversion technology that instantly converts any organic molecule (solid or gaseous) into harmless vapour. This bioconversion technology, in addition to effectively degrading ethylene gas, is capable of removing many unwanted volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and eliminating viruses, bacteria, fungi, moulds and bad odours, even anthrax.
In the medical sector it is used for microbiological air control in operating theatres and waiting rooms.
In the hotel sector, offices, clinics, homes etc. it is used to reduce the presence of allergens in the air, purify the air (pathogens) and eliminate residues of foul-smelling substances. The device is ideal for creating optimal environments for people with allergies, asthma sufferers or those sensitive to chemicals normally used for air sanitisation.

Description of the technology

Inside the unit there is a reaction cell containing a multitude of tiny glass tubules nano-coated with an ultra-pure and super-concentrated layer of titanium dioxide. The “contaminated” air is drawn into the system by a high-precision fan and then fed into micro-tunnels irradiated with 254 nm UV light. At this point the treated surface emits superoxide radicals (OH-) which are highly reactive with organic substances and microorganisms.
Developed by NASA, the Airocide® bioconversion technology converts harmful moulds, dangerous microorganisms, pathogens and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) into harmless water vapour, without producing ozone or other harmful by-products. Green and efficient, Airocide® eliminates 99.99% of pathogens on the first pass, releasing fresh, “purified” air into the environment. Airocide® is designed to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

The APS-200 and APS-300 versions have mainly three functions, which can be activated via the buttons built into the inner part of the appliance

• LOW – uses Airocide at low speed for environments where quieter operation is required.

• HIGH – Airocide is most effective in this mode and it is the recommended setting for the best results.

• AUTO – A special function controlled by a light sensor.

When the ambient light in the room is sufficient, the sensor will tell Airocide to run at high speed for maximum purification efficiency.
When the lights are turned off, in this setting the Airocide air purifier automatically switches to silent mode, running at low speed. When daylight conditions return, Airocide returns to high speed.
You don’t need to do anything – Airocide takes care of itself.
Just select the desired mode and that’s all there is to it.
