Airocide®, is a specific bioconversion technology that instantly converts any organic molecule (solid or gaseous) into harmless vapour. In addition to effectively degrading ethylene gas, this bioconversion technology can remove many unwanted volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and eliminate viruses, bacteria, fungi, moulds and bad odours — even anthrax.

Description of the technology
Inside the unit is a reaction chamber containing a multitude of tiny glass tubes nano-coated with an ultra-pure, highly concentrated layer of titanium dioxide. The “contaminated” air is drawn into the system by a high-precision fan and then passed through micro-tunnels irradiated with 254 nm UV light. The treated surface then emits superoxide (OH-) radicals, which are highly reactive with organic substances and microorganisms.
Developed by NASA, the bioconversion technology Airocide® converts harmful moulds, dangerous microorganisms, pathogens, VOC (volatile organic compounds) into harmless water vapour, without producing ozone or other harmful by-products. The version APS-200 e APS-300 have three main functions, which can be activated using the buttons built into the inside of the unit
• LOW – use Airocide at low speed for rooms where quieter operation is needed.
• HIGH – Airocide is most effective in this mode and it is the recommended setting for best results.
• AUTO – A special function controlled by a light sensor.
When there is enough ambient light in the room, the sensor tells Airocide to run at high speed for maximum purification efficiency.
When the lights go out, in this setting the Airocide air purifier automatically drops into quiet mode, running at low speed. When daylight conditions return, Airocide returns to high speed.
There is nothing you need to do – Airocide takes care of itself.
Just select the desired mode and that is all there is to it.
